The State government has promised to provide nine hours of power supply to the agriculture sector in the day time.
Addressing a gathering at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad after kicking off the state formation day celebrations here on Thursday, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao said the government would carve out 14-15 new districts creating new revenue divisions and mandals to improve the efficiency of administration.
“We will have those new districts by Dasara,” he said.
The State had suffered enormously on account of the “exploitation” of natural and human resources during over five decades as a combined State, he said. “We have led a peaceful movement to wrest the State. We are in the process of rebuilding by using out financial, water and human resources,” he said.
He highlighted the government’s flagship programmes — Mission Kakatiya (tank renovation) and Mission Bhageeratha (drinking water) — explaining how the two schemes would solve its drinking water and irrigation water problems.
