At least 15 people were dead in the horrifying road accident in Adilabad district, Telangana.

All the 15 deceased were of same family from Maharashtra, among whom there are five women and seven children.

The incident took place on the outskirts of Bhainsa town, on Saturday midnight, when a huge truck collided with an auto carrying 15 people, Adilabad District Superintendent of Police, Tarun Joshi said.

Out of fifteen deceased, 14 lost their lives on the spot and one on the way to the hospital.

According to the police, the remaining three, who were injured, were shifted to a hospital in Nizamabad district. Joshi said that, the deceased were travelling to a temple and so had hired an auto.

"The deceased include five women, four boys and three girls," Bhainsa Rural police station Circle Inspector Vinod Reddy said, adding that, the family was from Nanded district, Maharashtra and  had been working in brick kilns in Nizamabad.
