Taking the tip from the Tamil Nadu citizens protest for Jallikattu, it is known that AP youth planned a huge protest against the state and central governments, demanding special category status for Andhra Pradesh.

A large number of youths gathered at the RK beach in the morning, holding placards which read ‘Special status is Andhra’s right’. 

But the AP government is trying his best to stop the protest instructing the AP police to go against the protesters. Police arrested all the protesters for violating prohibitory orders and shifted them to a police station.

Telugu actor Sampoornesh Babu took part in the protest and had to face the detention too, when he tried to march towards the RK Beach. The police sealed all the roads leading to the beach and erected barricades to foil the protests. 

While Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan is posting back to back tweets against the AP government, for stopping the protest, YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced to lead the protest and also conduct candle rally this evening.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that the opposition parties were trying to create chaos only to disrupt the Partnership Summit beginning, to be held on Friday, in Vizag.
