Akali Dal Party in Punjab, got into the trending news item, after the party officials have announced that, they would offer lands in the foreign countries, if the people vote for their party in the upcoming elections.  

It is not new for the political leaders to make electoral promises and seek votes. Most of the times, such leaders would gain the power, when the public believe that, the promises they made are genuine. 

But taking the system to a complete new road, for the first of its kind, Akali Dal party, citing elections on February 4th, has announced that they would purchase 1 lakh acres of land in the countries like America, Canada, England and few other places, and would distribute to the farmers, who are willing to move to those places.

Needless to say, the promise they made is high and it is more than enough to grab the votes from the middle class people, who would be keen to move out of India.  

In the recent times, a severe negativity was observed on Akali Dal and BJP coalition, for its negligence in controlling the drug trade, which is ruining the state, day by day. So there are many chances for Akali Dal to lose power in the upcoming elections.

It is because of this reason, the party Chief Sukhbir Singh has announced a unique electoral promise like this. But if at all, the party comes into power again, the possibility of fulfilling the promise is very low, as there would be several obligations for a normal farmer, to move out of the country for work.
