Mission Bhagiratha: KCR announces deadline
Telangana Chief Minister KCR assured that, under Mission Bhagiratha scheme, 3,811 villages in the state will get drinking water by March.
He further added that by December, another 20,366 villages will be able to get the piped water. This means, 9.79 lakh houses by March and 42.38 lakh houses by December, will get a drinking water facility, under Mission Bhagiratha.
In a review meeting held at Pragathi Bhavan, KCR instructed the officials to coordinate with all the concerned departments and ensure that all the works under the project, would complete as per the schedule.
“There is no dearth of funds for Mission Bhagiratha. Financial institutions have already pledged about Rs 30,000 crore,” Rao said, and urged the officials to put on fast track ground level works.
