Aiming to make Warangal as next IT destination of Telangana, after Hyderabad, the state government brought Cyient, a global engineering and digital solutions provider to Warangal.
But it should be noted that a year ago, the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) developed a 15,000 sq ft Incubation Centre at Madikonda SEZ, inviting IT companies operate in a ‘plug-and-play’ and hassle-free environment. But the programme did not see much impact.
Telangana IT Minister KTR, who inaugurated the Incubation Centre, also laid the foundation stone for the Cyient’s facility earlier. The company pledged to employ 1000 employees phase-wise, establishing a 70,000 square feet state-of-the-art technology development centre, known as Centre of Excellence (CoE).
Now, with the least regard to this backdrop, the company has commenced its operations from TSIIC’s Incubation Centre, besides planning to bring up its own facility in about 18 months. This is 12th such centre In India and over all, the company has 24 such centres.
