A 10th class girl named Priyanka from Suryapet, who was declared brain dead, has given life to six desperate patients. The girl's heart was sent to Fortis Malar Hospital in Chennai for transplantation.

The donor's heart was transported from Malakpet to Shamshabad airport, just within 20 minutes, after Hyderabad traffic police provided green channel.

According to the reports, Priyanka along with another friend Praneshwari and school principal Shanta were crossing the road in Damercherla, Nalgonda, when they were hit by a four wheeler. While the other two lost life on the spot, Priyanka had received serious head injuries and was rushed to a local hospital for first-aid and later to Yashoda Malakpet.

The Jeevandan organ donation officials grief convinced the girl's familyto donat organs. The surgical team at Yashoda Hospitals, Malakpet retrieved heart, two kidneys, liver and two corneas.

In a chartered flight, the heart was flown to Chennai Fortis. A kidney to NIMS, another to Yashoda Malakpet, liver was sent to Yashoda Hospital Secunderabad and two corneas were sent to L.V. Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI).
