No helmet, no entry
Led by police commissioner Karthikeya, a group of police officials took out a motorbike rally from the TSSP 7th Battalion headquarters in Dichpally to Telangana University campus on National Highway-44, in connection with the 28th Road Safety Week.
TU Vice-Chancellor P. Sambaiah and Registrar Y. Jayaprakash Rao, along with the Commissioner, erected a banner by the main gate of TU, cautioning the two wheeler riders, that if they don't wear a helmet, they would not be allowed to enter the campus.
Commissioner Karthikeya later interacting with the students, explained the reason behind celebrating the Road Safety Week every year. He further urged them to involve in the campaign to create awareness on the road mishaps.
