Aiming at encouraging the minority business entrepreneurs, Deputy Chief Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali announced that the Telangana government would soon introduce a new scheme called "TS PRIME".
Adding to it, Ali also announced that, the state government would also establish a special ‘Information Technology Special Economic Zone’ (IT-SEZ) in Hyderabad exclusively for minority tech entrepreneurs.
Speaking about the programmes, the state government conducted earlier, Ali said that the government had raised the subsidy from 50% to 80% on loans being provided to minority youth for self-employment. 51452 people got benefited through the Shaadi Mubarak scheme so far for which Rs 262 crores had already been sanctioned. Besides, under the ‘Own your Auto’ scheme, a total of 1,783 youth from minority community had benefited, he said.
Below is the list, Ali noted, referring to the state government:
- 4000 square yards of land at Nampally sanctioned for the ‘Anees-Ul-Ghurba’ (Muslim orphanage) with all facilities.
- Sanctioned Rs 53 crores for construction and renovation of Wakf properties.
- Rs. 2 crores special grant to TS Haj Committee for the benefit of Haj pilgrims visiting Mecca, Madeena besides sanctioning another Rs 5 crores for the construction of Rubath (Guest house) at Ajmer Dargah.
