After Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the demonetization on November 8th, last year, the Centre went on encouraging the digital transactions. While several state governments tried to go cashless, its Telangana, that grabbed the top position.
Electronic transaction and Aggregation and Analysis Layer (e-TAAL), conducted the survey and identified that Telangana topped the list, with 2048.96 cashless transactions, for every 1000 people.
Following Telangana, it is Kerala that stood in second place with 2157.8 transactions. Below are the ranks of other states:
