Cash withdrawal limit hike soon
The government is planning to restore the normalcy across the country and regarding this, it is reportedly planning to increase the withdrawal limit from the ATMs.
After the deadline to exchange the old notes in the banks was done on December 30th, the government increased the withdrawal limit on January 1st from Rs. 2500 to Rs. 4500. This reduced the queues outside the ATMs.
However a considerable queue is still being witnessed at almost all the ATMs. To avoid this situation, the government is reportedly planning to increase the limit to Rs. 10000. The official notification regarding this, is expected to be out shortly.

Its official now. The withdrawal limit is raised to Rs. 10000.
