In terms of farmers suicides in 2015, Telangana stood in the second place, a report released by popular news media revealed.
Against 5650 farmer suicides in 2014, 8007 farmers had committed suicide in India in 2015. Of this, Telangana accounted for 1,358 cases which is 24% of the suicides in India. These statistics presented Telangana CM KCR in poor light, as he cannot blame Andhra rulers for the plight of the farmers in Telangana when he is at the helm of affairs.
Responding to these statistics, JAC Chief, Professor Kodandaram also stands justified in his criticism of the Telangana government, tagging KCR as Congress party's agent.
