United Arab Emirates (UAE) authorities seized the most wanted criminal Dawood Ibrahim's properties worth Rs 15,000 Crores.
Calling the action as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 'Diplomatic Masterstroke', BJP tweeted, “Major diplomatic success of PM Modi: One of India's most wanted criminals, Dawood Ibrahim's properties worth Rs. 15,000 crores seized in UAE.”
BJP further added that the action against Dawood was based on a list of the fugitive assets handed over by PM, during his visit to the UAE, in 2015. Along with the horrifying 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case, Dawood Ibrahim also holds responsibility for masterminding several other terror attacks, he even holds multiple charges of money laundering, extortion and financing terror groups.
Dawood is believed to be hiding in Pakistan and has been pursued by India for over 2 decades. He frequently changes his hideout in Pakistan making it tough to track him. BJP, however, has said that efforts are being put in to bring Dawood to India and punish him legally.
