Apart from information technology and municipal administration, it is known that KTR is also handling the NRI affairs portfolio. KTR as an NRI affairs minister is now receiving praises from his fans and followers.    

Chippa Manohar, a cancer patient from Siricilla, was admitted to the Shaik Badriya hospital in Kuwait. Worried over his health condition, Manohar’s family members approached KTR, who then contacted the External Affairs Ministry and asked to bring back Manohar to Hyderabad. 

The NRI Department of Telangana, then contacted concerned officials in Kuwait and recognizing that Manohar was involved in a case, an NGO raised Rs 19 lakhs and paid as a compensation to a party and brought back to Hyderabad. Manohar is currently taking treatment in NIMS hospital.
