Illegal constructions bill approved
mytelangana.com reported yesterday that a bill was raised in the assembly about the illegal constructions in Hyderabad. That bill was approved today, with the consent of all the MLAs in the house.
The bill would allow the officials to set up a tribunal court, which accepts only the cases related to the unauthorized constructions in the GHMC limits. However, the tribunal will also not accept such cases, where the houses or buildings are being demolished for the road expansion works.
Reacting to the issue, Telangana BJP Chief, Dr. Laxman said, “Officials who are permitting the unauthorized constructions should also be punished. In most of the cases, as the innocent common public, who is unaware of illegality in the property, is buying it, the government should pay them compensation and also give them a chance to regularize it.”
