Telangana bike ambulances aimed at tribals
Health Minister C Laxma Reddy said that the Telangana government would soon launch bike ambulances to reach out to the patients in the remote areas of the state.
The new initiative is mainly aimed at the tribals and also congested localities of Hyderabad and other cities in Telangana, he added. Adding to it, the Telangana government is also planning to increase the number of vehicles, to transport the dead bodies of the poor from the major state run hospitals to their native places.
Bike ambulances could be a good idea to reach out to all sections of the public and areas across the state, but if the condition of the patient is too serious, these ambulances would not work out, as the patient will not be able to lie down, the analysts opine. So the new initiative would mostly benefit those patients, whose condition is not so serious.
