After the sudden tax raids at the house of Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary P Ram Mohana Rao, it is known that a news was out, saying that he was removed from his office, replacing him with Girija Vaidyanathan. But Rao today revealed that he is still the Chief Secretary. “The government doesn't have guts to serve me transfer orders," Rao said.

Income Tax officials, after two days raids, claimed to have found nearly 30 lakh in cash and 5 kg of gold from the officer's home. His son, who is accused of involvement in money-laundering along with businessman J Sekhar Reddy, was also raided.

Rao further alleged that personnel of the CRPF or Central Reserve Police Force entered his house, producing a search warrant which did not even include his name.

"If honorable madam had been alive, no one would dare to do this. This is constitutional assault," he said. He also thanked political leaders like Mamata Banerjee and Rahul Gandhi for coming out in his support.

Rao claimed that, officials from his house, could only find “12,320 rupees only, bills and loose sheets”.
