Demonetization: Rs.50000 fine after December 30!

After the deadline- December 30th, any person possessing old notes would reportedly be levied a fine upto Rs. 50000. Regarding this, the official announcement from the Centre is awaiting.

According to the sources, people who possess over 10 big denomination notes after the deadline, will have to pay worth of total big notes they possess or Rs. 50000, whichever is higher.

It is known that Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced demonetization and ordered to exchange all the old notes by December 30th, intending to welcome the new year with the complete white money. However, under Pradhana Manthri Garib Kalyan Yojana, old notes can be exchanged up to March 31st. But the government is reportedly considering to prepone this date too.
