Election Commission of India (EC), considering that the inactive political parties have been working as tools to convert black money into white, banned 255 political parties across the country, among which 12 parties are from the Telugu states.

None of the banned parties contested in any of the elections during 2005-2015 and existed only on the paper. Among 12 banned parties from the Telugu states, even Nandamuri Harikrishna’s Anna TDP and Lakshmi Parvathi’s NTR TDP took place. 

Both Harikrishna and Lakshmi Parvathi who were strictly against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, several times went against him, complaining that he is spoiling the name of TDP and NTR. The back to back conflicts with Naidu, made them set up a separate political party. But as the duo lacked any political experience, they could not sustain in front of the super powerful Chandrababu Naidu and so remained inactive.   

The remaining 10 parties that are banned by EC, are as follows:
