Rs.400 crores found in former tea seller house
After conducting the raids in the house of a former Tea seller, the Income Tax Department shockingly found Rs. 400 crores, including cash, bullion, jewellery and property papers.
Kishore Bhaijyawala, a Surat based tea seller turned financier, had to surrender all his illegal property, which was seized by the IT officials. The IT raids were conducted on Bhajiyawala's premises by the time of filing this report.
On the other side, in another case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seized Rs. 30 lakh, of which Rs. 18 lakh were in new currency notes and 2.5 kg gold from the premises of a tailor in Mohali and Chandigarh.
