One month after resigning from the Times Now, senior journalist Arnab Goswami has announced that his new venture called Republic.
On November 1st, Goswami resigned from Times Now and since then, Rahul Shivshankar took over as Editor In Chief of the news channel. The channel will start airing before the crucial Uttar Pradesh elections in the first quarter of 2017, the reports say.
Goswami earned huge popularity with his daily prime time debate show ‘The News Hour’ which has a dedicated audience base across the country. He even used to conduct detailed interviews with politicians, sportspersons and celebrities on ‘Frankly Speaking’.
He was often criticized for being judgmental on his news show. People love his direct interrogative style of debates, and also there are people who even hate his aggression.
