Complaining that there is no infrastructure to accept card payments, a majority of government organizations are insisting on making payments in cash. While Telangana Chief Minister KCR is keen to make the state cashless, the situations in the state, are not letting him move forward.

Passengers are unable to renew their monthly bus passes due to the non-availability of the swiping machines at the RTC counters. The situation is same with the MeeSeva centres and also government hospitals and as a result, the people are facing inconvenience for paying the bills for services.

MeeSeva deputy director P. Srinivas said: “All MeeSeva centres will have PoS machines soon.”

The situation is same even at the Central government organizations. As the postal department dont have PoS machines, public is finding tough to purchase postal stamps, etc. Even a few of the BSNL customer service centres are insisting on cash to pay bills.

So it would be better, if the government soon concentrates on setting up PoS machines at least all the government organizations, before the situation turns worse.
