On the eve of Christmas, the Telangana government has decided to distribute clothes to about two lakh Christians in the state.
“In Hyderabad, in the areas covered by 100 Churches, for one lakh families and another lakh families in the districts, clothes will be distributed. Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekhar Rao has decided to have the clothes distribution on December 18, Sunday, in the backdrop of the Winter session of the State Legislative Assembly,” said a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office.
KCR will also participate in the Christmas dinner to be held in LB Stadium on December 20th. In an attempt to eliminate the religious discriminations, the Telangana government is engaging in all the religious programmes. It is to be noted that, the state government earlier distributed clothes to the Muslim community on their festival.
