Gold seize limits: Press release
After the demonetization, the Central government is now concentrating on the gold, after noticing that the biggies in the country are buying gold with the black money. Regarding this, the government even released an official press report.
- According to the report, there is no limit on the gold, or any type of jewelry, if it is acquired from the inheritance. However, the sources should be explained to the officials.
- Jewelry and ornaments to the extent of 500 gms for married lady, 250 gms for unmarried lady and 100 gms for the male member will not be seized.
- The officials on search, also respect the family customs and tradition and stay away from seizing even higher qualities of gold and other jewelry.
