Dilsukhnagar twin bomb blasts case, which is in the National Investigation Agency (NIA) special court, has been deferred till December 13th.  

Within the premises of Cherlapally Central jail, the trial of the case has recently concluded in the Special Court for NIA cases. 17 people lost their lives and 133 were severely injured in the twin blasts, engineered by Indian Mujahideen (IM) operatives at Dilsukhnagar in February 2013.

NIA, after the probe, named 6 people as accused, among whom Riyaz Bhatkal alias Shah Riyaz Ahmad Mohammed Ismail Shahbandari is absconding.

Charges were framed on rest of the five, who were identified as Yasin Bhatkal alias Mohammed Ahmed Siddibappa, Ajaz Shaikh, Asadullah Akhtar alias Haddi, Zia ur Rehman alias Waqas and Tahseen Akhtar alias Monu, under the section 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act 1967 r/w 10, 16, 17, 19, 20 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act 1967, Section 120-B of the IPC r/w sections 302, 307, 324, 326, 316, 121, 121A, 122, 474 and 466 of the IPC.
