GHMC collects Rs 188.06 crore from utility bills
Right after the local bodies said that, they would accept the banned currency for the payment of utility bills, public in large numbers reached out to the offices and started clearing those. Not only the outstanding payments, they even made the advance payments. So this made, the local bodies, acquire the cash, like never before.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) received Rs 188.06 crore towards taxes till today. According to the official release, taking today’s collection of Rs 6.06 crore, the total tax collection went up to Rs 188.06 crore. The utility bills can be paid with demonetized notes till November 24th.
