Withdraw cash from petrol pumps too
Keeping in mind the long queues at the banks and ATMs, the government has decided to dispense the cash even at the petrol pumps. Reportedly, each person can withdraw Rs. 2000 per day using debit/credit cards via POS (Point of Sale) machine.
"Cash to be dispensed at 2,500 petrol pumps; Cash to be given by swiping of debit/credit card via POS (Point of Sale) machine," @DDNewsLive tweeted.
Public sector oil companies like IOCL, BPCL & HPCL in association with SBI today decided that this facility will be available in select petrol pumps where POS machines of SBI are already available. SBI has decided to establish such machines even at the other petrol pumps, so that it would benefit the public in withdrawing the cash.
