There was not much delay in bringing out the fake Rs. 2000 notes, after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government introduced the high denomination currency, while announcing the demonetization.
But there are videos that are being circulated on the social media, revealing that the original currency notes, when immersed in water or wiped with a wet cloth, are losing pink and other colors on it. Those revelations are now worrying the people, who are finding tough to find, whether the note they are carrying is original or fake.
Giving a clarification about this, the Union Secretary for Economic Affairs Shaktikanta Das revealed that the notes that are losing their color, are the original ones and the rest are fake notes.
As the original notes will lose its color, public is now worried about carrying the notes in the rainy season, as the notes would turn colorless, unrecognizable and useless eventually. So, probably, the centre should come up with the counter mechanism in the future days.
