After Bhopal central jail, now its Warangal jail, that witnessed the prisoners escape. Jail authorities said, Sainik Singh (28) from Kanker Khera, Uttar Pradesh and Rajesh Yadav (28) of Mubarakpur, Bihar, escaped from Warangal jail in the wee hours of Saturday. 

Singh was craftsman in the army working at Secunderabad Cantonment. He was convicted in September 2015, on charges of stealing a weapon. Rajesh was convicted on charges of murder by the Sivarampally court in Ranga Reddy district in 2014. 

Jail superintendent K Newton said that, they broke the lock and used bed sheets to climb up the high rise wall. There were no closed circuit cameras in prison and those installed at select places were obsolete. Though there was a live electric wire around the wall, they could escape, he wondered. The city police launched a massive manhunt on city borders.
