Demonetisation affect: Only one viewer at multiplex
Due to the demonetization of the big notes, multiplexes which generally witness only Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes, had to see the empty theaters, as several public could not exchange the notes in a short time. The situation is same in even the rich states like Gujarat and Maharashtra.
But a multiplex in Ahmedabad did not mind to run the morning show, even when there is only one person who bought the ticket. "Despite there being only one viewer, we will still have the show," the management said and added that the phase is only temporary. They backed Modi's decision to demonetise the higher denomination currency.
Now the photo of the youth watching the movie in the theatre all alone, is going viral on the social media.
