Telugu states rank 3rd in milk production
Both the Telugu states- Telangana and Andhra Pradesh jointly secured third position in milk production in the country. While Uttar Pradesh occupied the top position, Rajasthan followed it.
While the total milk production in India has crossed 140 million metric tons per day, Telugu states jointly witnessed 3 to 4 litres of average milk production. The dairies used a lot of energy, which cost Rs 8 per unit, to preserve the stored stock.
According to the study, the ineffective milk production in the country witnessed several reasons like water scarcity, inefficient animals etc. Even though the farmers are feeding the animals, there are complaints of milk.
The study says that it is important to feed the animals from its 2nd month in a scientific manner to get the expected results.
