Amidst of the criticisms against the Telangana government from the opposition parties regarding the farmer loan waiver scheme, the state government in its third phase has  released Rs. 2019.19 crores towards crop loan waiver. A G.O was issued by the state government regarding the same. 

TRS government also said that it has decided to release Rs. 4250 crores in 2017. So far, in three phases, the government has released Rs. 12000 crores out of Rs. 17000 crores of crop loans.

Though it is appreciable for waiving the crop loans, it is to be noted that the release of funds is getting delayed, due to which several farmers are forced to get loans from the private people at high rates of interest, for the agriculture. So before the issue turns ugly, it would be better, if the government takes the issue seriously and release the remaining funds in the early months of 2017.
