In spite of the hike in bus charges in the recent times, reportedly TSRTC is still running in the losses. So the officials have now come up with a new proposal, which is to introduce the platform tickets in bus stations.

Several bus stations in the cities would witness the people offering send-off. To cash such people, introducing platform tickets would be the best idea, TSRTC felt. It took the proposal to the Telangana Chief Minister KCR, who is yet to give his approval.

While the tradition of platform tickets is already there in the railway stations, there would not be much problem if it is introduced even in the bus stations, the government officials felt. If everything goes well, the proposal would come into implementation from January 1st 2017 in Hyderabad, Warangal, Khammam, Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar and Karimnagar districts and would even spread to other districts in the future.
