In the recent times, most of the surveys, made Telangana occupy the top position against Andhra Pradesh. But finally, here’s a survey that witnessed AP over Telangana.

According to NITI Aayog’s Index on reforms in the farm sector, both the Telugu states were ranked in the top 10 places. While AP occupied 7th position, Telangana had to adjust in the following place. 

The list showed Maharashtra on the top, for implementing the farmer friendly policies well. Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh were ranked 4th, 5th and 6th respectively. Goa and Chhattisgarh settled at 9th and 10th positions.

NITI Aayog's Agriculture Marketing and Farmer Friendly Reforms Index showed that 22 out of 29 Indian states, are identified to have weak practices of agriculture. West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Punjab, J&K are among those states. NITI Aayog's Farm Index points out reforms haven't implemented in Several States and Union Territories. Focus areas were low income generation and low growth.
