Linking the religious feeling to the Bhopal jail break issue, senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh asked how is it possible that only Muslim SIMI operatives escaped from the jail and not the Hindu ones.

Not stopping there, he even criticized Shivraj Singh led Madhya Pradesh government, for not acting on time, even after several intel inputs that SIMI terrorists could escape. He also demanded a detailed probe into the incident and said until a high court judge or the National Investigation Agency looks into the details of the case, the truth won't be out.

On the other side, Union minister Kiren Rijiju slammed the Congress for passing the judgement merely on the basis of some video clips. "We should stop having doubts on authorities and forces. Facts will come out," he said.

Union Minister of Urban Development Venkaiah Naidu while questioning what the Opposition's statement said, “Some people are giving it a communal color, this is cheap politics.”
