Describing the Andhra-Odisha border encounter as fake, Mao leader Jagan released a letter stating to call for a statewide Bundh on November 3rd.
The Mao leader stated that this is the largest encounter after the 1998 coperdeng encounter. "Maoists will definitely react to this and the government will witness a huge loss to the retaliation" warned Jagan in the letter.
28 out of 31 names killed in the counter, were named by Jagan and the other 3 names were not out. He stated that both AP and Odisha governments are looting the public property for benefiting a few corporates. He also said that the fight will continue against the dig for bauxite in the Eastern ghats at the cost of tribal peoples’ lives.
In the encounter, the forces gunned down 31 maos, who met for a meeting in Malkangiri district. It was in the news that police held a top leader Ramakrishna. In this back drop, RK's wife has moved the Hyderabad High Court demanding the safe release of her husband who, according to her, has been “in the gray hounds custody in Andhra Pradesh”. She moved a lunch motion habeas corpus petition.
