At present, there are three popular newspapers in Andhra Pradesh- Eenadu, Andhra Jyothy and Sakshi. It is widely believed that the first two are the trumpets of TDP and the next one is being run by a political party, which mostly writes against TDP and allegedly far from the reality. So the people stopped taking its writings seriously.

So the need of a new Telugu daily arose to give facts to the public, without being biased to any political party. Reportedly, a Telugu daily newspaper is going to hit the stands in Andhra Pradesh shortly. This daily has the large scale backing of NRIs, and is coming up with massive capital. 

But not just if the promoter of a media house has enough funds to launch the daily, but also should have guts to question the state government, face competition from the rivals etc. The newspaper requires the backing of powerful forces and reportedly the proposed daily has such forces behind it.
