AP govt to launch toll free for women
On the similar lines of ‘She teams’ launched by Telangana government, even the AP government is planning to bring an initiative to curb the violence against women. The state government is planning to launch toll free help line number 181 for women to implement various measures towards woman empowerment and to eradicate the domestic violence.
Adding to it, the government is even planning to launch One Stop Centre in hospitals of each district and then direct the officials to search land parcels for the construction of own buildings for the proposed centers.
On the other side, Ministry of Women and Child Welfare, Peethala Sujatha said that the minimum qualification to serve as an Anganwadi teacher is currently 10th, but this would be revisited to Intermediate or Degree soon.
