According to the World Bank’s report, Hyderabad topped in the ease of doing business (EODB) by securing first place in 2 parameters- enforcing contracts and resolving insolvency.
Measuring business regulations, the World bank report surveyed 17 cities across the country in terms of starting a business, registering property, dealing with construction permits, trading across borders, paying taxes, resolving insolvency and enforcing contracts. In terms of overall EODB, Hyderabad stood next to Ludhiana.
Coming to the construction permits, New Delhi topped the list and Hyderabad stood in 4th position. However, Hyderabad occupied 13th position in paying taxes and trading across borders and in these two parameters, both Ludhiana and Bhubaneshwar topped. Hyderabad is in 9th position in registering property and Gurgaon ranked number one in this category.
