With the intention of increasing the air traffic in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is making his best efforts.

Regarding this, he is now even funding the airlines running in losses to ensure they does not shut down. Recently, the CM has sanctioned Rs. 4.90 crores to Turbo Mega Airways, for which film actor Ram Charan is one of the Board of Directors. 

Trujet, under Turbo Mega Airways, is running the flights on the routes of Vijayawada-Kadapa-Tirupathi despite minimal occupancy. The Andhra Pradesh government compensated the loss incurred by the airline under the Viability Gap Funding (VGF) Scheme.

With the least concern of the occupancy, the Trujet airlines had to operate flights between these cities, four times a week. The 72 seater flight, managed to operate 672 services over a year. As per the deal, the state government will have to pay half of the maintenance cost of the flight and so has paid the amount said above.
