Home Guards in Telangana, attacked the Secretariat in Hyderabad in large numbers, demanding to regularize their services.

Home Guards who did not reveal any type of distress over the government till yesterday, came out at once today, protesting opposite Telangana secretariat. However, police were performing the lathi charge over the protesters.

When asked to comment on the issue, one of the protesters said that, they were promised to get promoted to constables and also hike in the salary. However, they agreed that they received the salary hike, but not any promotion till date. After making several discussions with the government, which revealed no fruit, finally all the home guards had to protest at the secretariat.

The protesters met the Chief Secretary in the Secretariat, Rajiv Sharma and submitted the request document to her. It should be seen how it would move forward and convince the Home Guards.
