It is known that around 25 MLAs from various parties like TDP, Congress, YSRCP got defected into the leading TRS in Telangana. But none of those leaders resigned from their MLA posts and are still continuing as their ex-party MLAs.
Regarding this, the Supreme Court asked the Speaker Madhusudanachary to give an explanation by November 8th. Neither Supreme Court, nor High Court will have anything to do with the defected MLAs who stayed away from submitting resignations. So it is only the Speaker who should take the needed action.
Three parties’ representatives earlier met Speaker and Governor, asking them to announce ineligibility on the defected MLAs. But even both of the biggies maintained mum and it was later, the issue reached the Supreme Court.
