Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has accepted Telangana Chief Minister KCR's request to hand over all the buildings allotted to AP in the State Secretariat in Hyderabad.
While the Telangana government is keen to speed up the construction works of new secretariat in the same premises, Telangana State Cabinet adopted a resolution and forwarded to Governor ESL Narasimhan requesting to hand over the blocks allotted for Andhra Pradesh to Telangana.
Not only the secretariat blocks, but the TRS government even specified in the resolution to get back Assembly, Legislative Council and other buildings given to AP in Hyderabad.
AP government employees already got shifted to a temporary secretariat in Velagapudi. All the government operations are being performed from there itself. Once Amaravati capital construction works speed up, the officials would confirm the permanent building.
