Telangana state had consistently been ranked number one in the Ease of Doing Business index within India and is the ideal investment destination for medical technology firms, state IT minister KTR said. KTR who was on his final leg of US tour, “AdvaMed 2016” in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to promote the state on the global stage and attract investments.
He explained about the benefits Telangana government offers in the field of healthcare, pharma and medical technology devices. He mentioned about the state-of-the-art Pharma City and Medical Devices Park that the state government was planning to set up near Hyderabad.
KTR in a meeting with Gary Pruden, Worldwide chairman, Medical Devices, Johnson and Johnson, discussed on several topics like manufacturing, intellectual property rights, to regulatory issues. The Telangana minister even held a meeting with Omar Ishrak, chairman and CEO of medical technology firm Medtronic.
Benson Smith, chairman, president and CEO of Teleflex Inc called on KTR and the latter invited the medical devices firm to consider investing in Telangana. The dynamic minister even met Kevin Lobo, president and CEO Stryker Corporation.
