Rs. 100 crores for Siddipet's development
Telangana Chief Minister KCR has launched Siddipet as the new district. With the aim of making it as a finest district, KCR allotted Rs. 100 crores for the development of the district. He assured to provide railway line, Godavari water and other basic facilities to the district. He even assured for a medical college by next year.
Speaking on the occasion, KCR said, "NTR asked to make Siddipet as a district and I am happy to make his wish come true after 30 years. He appreciated Irrigation Minister Harish Rao for striving for the development of Siddipet and also I congratulate Venkatarama Reddy on becoming the first collector of the newly formed district."
KCR also performed pujas at Collectorate and hoisted the national tricolor. Several cultural programmes were held on the occasion. The programme was launched at the auspicious muhurat time.
