After the reorganization of the districts in Telangana, Hyderabad is going to turn the smallest one in terms of area, but is still the largest, when the population is concerned.
On the other hand, Nalgonda will be the largest district in terms of area. Nalgonda has 31 mandals, which is highest and its geographical area is 6862.78 sq.km.
In terms of geographical area, Bhupalapally (Jayashankar district) is on the second position with 6,175.21 sq.km, Rangareddy district on the third with 5,005.98 sq.km. Warangal Urban is the smallest of all the districts. It has 12 mandals and its geographical area is 1,304.51 sq.km.
In terms of population, while Hyderabad is still on the top with 39.43 lakh population, Shamshabad (Rangareddy) district is on the second position 25.51 lakh population. Even Medchal has almost the same population as Rangareddy and is so occupying the third position. Siricilla is on the last with 5.94 lakh population.
