Telangana government severely went against the private hospitals in the state, for not implementing the Aarogyasri scheme.

The private hospitals stopped implementing Aarograsri for allegedly not getting funds from the state government. In the current financial year, from April to October 2nd, the government is supposed to pay Rs. 246.24 crores, but only paid Rs. 38.74 crores and is yet to pay Rs. 207.50 crores. 

On the whole, the government is required to pay Rs. 430 crores. Even the government hospitals are yet to receive the payments. Out of Rs. 91.45 crores, the government only paid Rs. 5.45 crores.

Irritated over this, the private hospital doctors are staging a protest for every 3 months, but the government is maintaining mum on the issue. But as the hospitals stopped treating patients under the scheme, the government warned the hospitals that it would cancel the license, if Aarogyasri is not implemented.

While the doctors are demanding to release Rs. 500 crores immediately, the government reportedly has decided to release Rs. 300 crores for Dussehra.
