Telangana Chief Minister KCR has decided to establish mini theaters at all the busy TSRTC bus stations in the state, to make sure the waiting passengers get entertained.

In order to generate more revenues from the bus station, KCR had suggested TSRTC to set up even commercial complexes along with the mini theaters. 

Responding to the initiative, an official said that, due to the delay in bus arrivals, several passengers have to wait for long hours in the station. So at that point of time, these mini theaters act best to while away their boredom.

Regarding this, the Telangana Producers and Mini Theater Owners' Co-operative Society have also submitted a representation to the management seeking space in some bus stations for setting up of mini theaters. A TSRTC official said that there is a big scope to set up mini theaters in bus stations like Kushaiguda and Kukatpally etc in Hyderabad. 

The modalities to maintain the theaters, ticketing charges, revenue sharing etc are yet to be finalized. After Dussehra, tenders would be notified to set up mini theaters in 90 TSRTC bus stations.
