American Progressive Telugu Association (APTA) in association with Jana Maitri police, is conducting the free medical camp in Adilabad district, Khanapur Mandal, Rajura village on October 2nd on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi.
The camp would start its services from 8 am and continue till 4pm, providing free health checkups and also medicines to around 2000 poor people staying nearby. Dr. Venu Gopal, Dr. Rama Krishna, Dr. Krishnam Raju recognized the poor people who could not afford medical treatment, are suffering from severe health problems. Its then they informed the situation to APTA.
Responding to it, APTA Chief Gopala Gudapati, APTA medical assistance programme (AMAP) chairman Dr. Kumar Kothapalli planned the free medical camp and Vice Chairman Surya Raguthu will be supplying the free medicines. 20 specialized doctors will be extending their support for the poor in the medical camp.
Mr. Gopala Gudapati further added that, APTA is even providing transportation service to the people willing to attend the medical camp for the checkups.
Shantiniketan company, which is being headed by an NRI, Sri Janardhan Pannela, will look after the assistance, medical camp needs if any. The local legislator Smt. Rekha Shyam is attending as the Chief guest for the programme.
Not even a single NRI association came out in support of this remote village till date. So APTA should be appreciated for extending its support to the poor and hope that it would continue to support more remote villages in the Telugu states.
