Husband keeps wife under CCTV surveillance
A 34 year old software engineer Shiv Shankar has installed CCTV cameras in his house, to keep a watch on his wife.
A Hyderabad based techie from AC Guards got married to Purnajyothi, 27, in November last year. Its after the wedding, Shankar came to know about the health problems of his wife and he began forcing her parents to allow him marry their other daughter. Purnajyothy's parents refused the proposal instantly.
Since then, Shankar has started harassing Purnajyothy for Rs. 10 lakh additional dowry. Not stopping there, he even took off her cell phone and installed CCTV cameras in the house in every room.
Unable to tackle the harassment, Purnajyothy lodged a complaint with the Central Crime Station (CCS) police, who registered a case against Shankar under sections 498-A, 406 and 506 of the IPC and sections 4 and 6 of the DP Act.
